The action was attended by representatives of the Ecology and Natural Resources and Education Ministries, as well as Yasamal District Executive Power, Ekosfera Public Union, EcoBaku, AzEkol LLC, public representatives and those who enjoyed the park.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is continuously raising awareness campaigns and propagandistic activities in order to reduce the impact of plastic wastes on the environment gradually. At the initiative of the MENR, special containers were placed in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja and Shabran to collect certain wastes.
Upon the ratification by the five Caspian littoral states, Tehran Convention entered into force on 12 August, 2006, and since then, this date was celebrated as “Caspian Day”.
A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then quickly disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment, satire, and artistic expression.
The main objective of the ecological flash mob is to protect the environment of the Caspian Sea from contamination by plastic, including the protection, conservation, rehabilitation, sustainable and efficient use of the biological resources of the Caspian Sea and education of the population in this direction.
